Recreational Activities

I am part of the last group of Kawagamites and we sure were a different bunch you might say. After us the camp was shut down permanently and I am sure it had just a teeny bit to do with the amount of drugs and dope that we enjoyed.
I remember droppping acid at camp for the first time, I think it was 1969...maybe it was August. And then, again. Anyway it arrived via canoe at Sandy Point.
We began our journey in the early afternoon and continued all night under the stars. How were we not missed? How did we get away with this? Who all were there with me? It's a blank now.

Les Cappe is organizing two days and two nights AT CAMP!!

Hi Kawagamites,

What If?

IF......I could organize (with help from some of you) a "weekend at camp" including one or two overnights sleeping at camp......rather than in a hotel, resort or lodge.......how many of you would be interested?

Paul Gellman Is Back at Axis - Saturday night, October 18th

PaulGellman-300.jpg

Please note: Toronto area campers...Paul Gellman and his Band continue to make mini "Reunions" possible. This will be my fourth trip from Buffalo to see and listen to Paul, Kawagama's current premier "live" entertainer and musician. The venue, Axis, at 3048 Dundas Street West, has great food and is cozy enough to let everyone feel part of the performance.

Happy Reunion Anniversary Kawagamites

Last night I dreamed we were all together again at Camp

Paul Gellman Band...back at it, again

Paul Gellman

Hello friends!

For those that came to the Axis on March 29, thank you for joining us! It was really fun! Our band certainly enjoyed playing. We’ve been playing together for a while now so we’re comfortable with the material, and able to relax, play and jam together. That makes it even better!
Let’s do it again!

WHO: Paul Gellman Band with Dave McManus, Trevor Fentum, Richard Keelan, Joey Goldstein, and Lucy Carrick

WHAT: A Musical Celebration

WHERE: Axis Gallery and Grill 3048 Dundas St. W. (2 km west of Keele)
